Congratulations to Chef Coleman and Stephanie on their recent engagement! 

They discovered MJM in Soho a few years back, and after purchasing anniversary and birthday gifts from the New York store, Coleman knew that MJM would be the perfect place to get the engagement ring once the time was right. 

He planned to surprise Stephanie on their Vermont family vacation in July. He chose the Grey Diamond ring w/ Pave Halo after staring at it online and coming to see it in person at our Cobble Hill store.

The 3 of them went on a kayak ride, and while they were discussing the next year's travel plans, Coleman took the ring out (he was stashing it IN THE CANOE) and proposed while she was mid-bite into a turkey sandwich! She was so shocked--her "Yes!" was filled with a string of expletives.

It's only fitting that their wedding will be this upcoming Halloween weekend!

Our Brooklyn associate, Nina, worked with Chef Coleman to coordinate the surprise, which they emailed about in a chain titled "Pictures of Lambeau", the adorable french bulldog the couple shares, to make sure Stephanie did not catch on! We are grateful to have worked with such a cool, fun, and creative individuals, cheers to the happy couple!
