Alyssa observes the intimacy between humans and the natural world. Considering the concept of being at home in this world, the subjects are often nude and at ease in the landscapes. Each landscape represents memories pieced together on summer days through artists' life.
Working with very small-scale paintings Alyssa allows the intimacy of the work to reward viewers who take time to explore the nuances within. Each finished work will leave the viewer with a longing to step into the world created for them, a step away from the realities of their daily lives.
Alyssa studied fine arts in Toronto, Canada at OCADU.
